Borrowing Books

November 2021 UPDATE

Books can be borrowed in the normal way by checking out at the information desk or by using the click & collect service

  • Search for the item you would like to borrow on
  • Click on Place Hold to login to your library account and reserve the item.
  • For fully online/distance education students/staff we will post the item out to you and include a pre-paid postal envelope for returns. 

The library will continue to deliver a click and collect service to all library users for the academic year.

You can request books via the library website or phone (091-745409) or email ( the library staff providing your name, student ID number and bibliographical details of the books you require. Lending periods are 14 days.

Your books will be left outside the library entrance and you will be informed when to collect your books or alternatively you can request our postal service if you are not going to be onsite.

The library will also continue the postal service to all fully remote/online/distance education students and for those who have to quarantine or isolate due to Covid.

Library users will be permitted into the library to browse the shelves but booking is essential via Book a Seat.

This service will be subject to review according to public health guidelines
