Study Space

During the 2021/2022 academic year, study spaces must be booked online and in advance in each library. The number of study spaces available will be reduced in each library. 

Library users will have access to study space on a restricted basis according to 2m physical distancing. Places must be pre-booked for a maximum of 4 hours.(Please note that if you are in an enclosed space for more than 2 hours regardless of facemasks or distancing that you will be deemed a close contact if a positive case is confirmed). Duration will be reviewed based on demand and public health guidelines. Please wipe down the desk and chair before and after use. Book your seat at this link Book a Seat 

Personal details will only be retained for 28 days for contact tracing purposes only. Seats can be booked in blocks of 30 minutes up to a maximum duration of 4 hours. Seats can be booked 3 days in advance. There will be a QR code on the outside of the library door with a link to the booking seat page. If spaces are available you can book then and there.

Please sit in your booked seat and do not move furniture for any reason.

Only registered students and staff of GMIT will be admitted to GMIT library on the production of a valid GMIT ID card. Facemasks are mandatory while in the library.

When leaving the library please bring all your personal belongings with you.
