GMIT Libraries re-open plan

We plan to re-open on 21st September 2020. This guide covers library services for Sept 2020 - May 2021

A big welcome to all our new first year students, new staff and all continuing students and staff of GMIT!

We re-opened our libraries on 21st September.

While it will be challenging and our services and hours will be restricted we will be doing our level best to support you for the coming academic year.

  • You will have access to our print collection and the procedures may vary at each of our libraries.
  • Keep a regular check on our website and social media channels.
  • Study space will be available on the Dublin Rd library but it will be limited due to public health advice.
  • Please note the services under each of our libraries (using tabs on the left).
  • Our online library is available 24/7.
  • Virtual assistance is available on our Live Chat during our opening hours and our FAQs and LibGuides are available at any time.
  • Staff are always on hand to assist you.
  • All library resources will be available to you in some form or other. We got this!

You must complete the daily health check form available HERE each day prior to arriving on campus. This records your presence and may be used for contact tracing work. Do not attend campus if feeling unwell.
